But the house of a MLA has been left untouched which is just adjacent to Kalita's residence," said a resident of Sankardev Nagar.
They said that the residence of Dhemaji MLA Sumitra Patir is located just nearer to Thaneswar Kalita . But personnel from district administration allegedly have left Patir's residence untouched. Patir also said that she did not have a myadi patta for the land which she bought from a local Karbi resident. "I have no myadi patta for the residential campus which i bought from a local Karbi family," said Sumitra Patir. However Patir said that she was not aware of the eviction in her area.
According to her there should not be any discrimination in the eviction in the Megzine area in the city . " No discrimination should be there . If government has started eviction in the area my residence should not be left untouched if I violated the rules," said Patir.
On Sunday the people of the locality scheduled to be united under the banner of Sankardev Nagar Unnayan Samiti to raise their voice against the discrimination which was interrupted by the continual raining in the city. "It becomes the need of the hour to be united against the government discrimination which became prevalent in the eviction process although many of us have been targeted by the administration," said another resident.

All the agitating people in the city have sought the farmer's leader Akhil Gogoi as their leader for the anti-eviction drive in the city .
